They sought to replace traditional paper documents with a secure, blockchain-backed digital platform, to eliminate counterfeiting, document loss, verification delays, and the high costs associated with paper documentation — across the mortgage, real estate, and construction sectors.

Our document management system faced several significant challenges during development. Firstly, ensuring the security and integrity of electronic documents was paramount, requiring a system that was both tamper-proof and immutable. The decentralized nature of the platform added complexity, as media files needed to be converted into strings before being stored on the blockchain. Another major challenge was implementing a robust access control mechanism using public/private key pairs for each record, ensuring that only authorized users could access specific documents. Additionally, sharing documents on social media presented complexities in maintaining security when the private key of a document was made public. Proper version control was also essential, yet maintaining different versions of a document within a single process proved difficult.
